MS&B's Diversity Officer Completes Cornell University's Certificate Program
MS&B is proud to announce that Member and Chief Diversity Officer Bakari G. Lee, Esq., has completed Cornell University’s Building a Diverse Workforce certificate program. This certificate complements the Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Bakari earned from Cornell University last year. MS&B has a strong tradition of organically recruiting and promoting women and people of color, however, in 2021 under Bakari's leadership, we launched our formal diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts by conducting an internal culture climate/psychological safety survey and unconscious bias workshops.
As we move into the next phase of our DEI work, MS&B has engaged DSR Consulting LLC to assist in the development and implementation of the Firm’s DEI Strategic Plan. DSR Consulting LLC is a Washington, DC-based consulting firm with over three decades of experience in DEI. MS&B looks forward to Bakari pairing lessons learned at Cornell with the expertise garnered by working with DSR in order to build out and formalize MS&B’s DEI Strategic Plan.
