Joshua Berliner’s primary practice areas include sustainable development, clean energy and resiliency, environmental law and general litigation.
As a law student, Josh served as Articles Editor for the Pace Environmental Law Review. Josh also served as a legal intern at the Pace Energy & Climate Center, where he worked on New York State electric utility law proceedings, at the U.S. EPA in Washington, DC, where he worked on legal challenges to EPA regulations, and to the Honorable Cathy Seibel, United States District Judge, Southern District of New York, as part of Pace Law School’s Federal Judicial Honors Program. Subsequently, Josh worked as a summer associate at Young Sommer LLC, a boutique environmental law firm in Albany, NY, and as a student attorney in the Pace Food & Beverage Law Clinic, where he provided transactional legal services to farmers implementing sustainable farming practices, mission-oriented food entrepreneurs, and food justice non-profit organizations.
In 2014, Josh was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa during his Junior year of college. In 2015, Josh received his B.A. from Bucknell University, summa cum laude, with a double major in Economics and Environmental Studies. In 2018, he received his J.D. from Pace Law School, magna cum laude, with the Environmental Law Certificate. After graduation, Josh served as the law clerk to the Honorable Louis S. Sceusi, J.S.C., Superior Court of New Jersey, Morris Vicinage.
