McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC Guides Township of Woodbridge with Purchase of 54-Acre, Former State-Owned Site, Public Procurement and Future Redevelopment

As Redevelopment Counsel to the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency, McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC recently guided the negotiation and facilitated the purchase of an approximately 54-acre, State-owned property in the Township of Woodbridge, that was the former site of a facility serving residents with developmental disabilities. As the current owner, and with the advice and guidance of McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC, the Township prepared a Request for Qualifications/Request for Proposals for prospective redevelopers of the site, in furtherance of the Township’s goals to redevelop the site with a focus on commercial, health-care and/or educational-related uses. No strangers to these vast real estate redevelopment and related, transactional undertakings, McManimon, Scotland & Baumann, LLC, serves as redevelopment counsel to the Borough of Totowa, in the redevelopment of a similar, previously State-owned site, that spans 140-acres and will include an assisted living facility, a data center, an office building, and a research and development facility, as well as residential use.
